1 Kings 8:61 and Romans 12:1 The Living Bible

“And may your hearts be fully committed to the LORD our God, to live by his decrees and obey his commands.

And connecting it with Romans 12:1

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

These two verses tie together not just the heart but also our bodies to become one, and by doing so, you are united in worshipping God. God doesn’t want empty praise, that means nothing to him. When you give yourself to our Lord Jesus, it means not just Your Heart, but Your Mind, and a body that is dedicated FULLY to HIM.

Don’t think that worship is enough. Anyone can worship a thing and think that it is holy. What Our Lord God wants is a dedicated mind, spirit, and body that is ready to serve HIM completely, one that is dedicated to His Will, and ready to sacrifice your wants, desires and ideas.

PRAYER:

PRAISE OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN!

Lord Jesus, I give myself to You, the one who created me! Remind me that I need to lay my needs and wants down at Your Altar, give them up to You as a sacrifice just as You did for us! Let that be our example that we need to follow. Let my thoughts be Yours! Let my will be Yours! Let my actions mirror Yours!

Keep me focused on You alone!! Do not allow my mind, body or heart turn away from You, neither to the left or the right, but aligned and focused only on YOU! You are my creator and YOU know what is best for me. You know my past, present and future and are in control, not me.

Lord Jesus, I dedicate myself totally to YOU! AMEN!
