Metamorphosis

Romans 12:2: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God”.

2 Corinthians 3:18: “But we all… are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord”.

Let’s look at what a wonderous process of metamorphosis of a butterfly, from a a tiny egg that is laid. That little egg is like your heart, a tiny egg is starting to grow inside, transforming it once you accept Jesus. As that little egg grows into a caterpillar, so is your faith, love, and trust in Jesus is growing.

As the caterpillar grows, it starts changing inside and so the metamorphosis begins and once it is finished, a beautiful butterfly emerges. So, it is like that with you. You, that caterpillar is transforming into a new person, one who hates his old life and is now commited to being like Jesus, not the old self. Your old self is gone! You are being transformed into the image of Jesus!

Prayer: Holy Father, Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit thank You for that tiny seed that is being transformed inside us and help US to protect it so that it can become what You desire. Amen.
