Romans 12:9

“Don’t pretend that you love others, really love them! Hate what is wrong. Stand on the side of the good. Love each other with brotherly affection and take delight in honoring each other.”

When YOU LOVE GOD, that love overflows to others and produces other gifts to share with others. This passage tells us that we are to Love One Another sincerely and with all of our hearts. Yes, it is hard to love others at times. When that happens, I ask myself why? I check my heart to see if there is something blocking it.

Lord, check my Heart! Is there a weed growing inside that is cutting off my Love for others?

Have I grown cold towards others?

Am I too involved or obessessed with something that is taking my LOVE FOR YOU AND OTHERS AWAY?

PRAYER:

Lord Jesus, God of Heaven and Holy Spirit! Praise YOUR HOLY NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES!

Oh, Lord! I cry out to YOU!! Where have YOU gone? I cannot find YOU, Lord Jesus! Please come back to me. Show me how to love not just myself, but others with sincerity.

Lord, sweep away all the cobwebs and dirt out of my heart and make me clean again! Please fill me up with YOUR LOVE! Let it OVERFLOW INTO ALL AREAS OF MY LIFE! Let it overflow so that I feel LOVE spilling out into not just my life but others!

Lord, I long to feel YOU holding me close! Lord, I am sorry that I wandered off to explore other pastures! I need YOU every moment, every day, all my life!

Lord, thank YOU for chasing after me, lifting me up, and holding me close! I was lost, YOU found me, comforted me, forgave me and held me close and now I can share YOUR LOVE freely with others!

Romans 12:1 The Living Bible

And so Dear Brothers and Sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God. Let them be a living sacrifice, holy–the kind he can accept. When you think of what He has done for you, is this too much to ask? Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all that you do and think.”

Now that you are His children, He wants YOU to turn YOUR LIFE over to HIM Totally! Not just a small part. Don’t put HIM in your pocket and take Him out now and then and then say that YOU are saved. When you take HIM out once in a while, you are limiting God and His Works! You are hurting not just yourself, but you are keeping HIM from blessing and working through YOU!

God wants our bodies to become a living sacrifice that He can use for His glory. He Wants us to be not just clean on the outside but on the inside also! Clean off your mirrors and check to see if YOU can see the Face of Jesus looking back. Polish that mirror daily, check your actions, speech and heart. By doing this daily, you are becoming a Daily Sacrifice that is pleasing to HIM.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, Holy Spirit and Lord Jesus! I Praise Your Name Above All Others! You alone are Holy, Pure, and Loving!

Keep me close to Your Heart! Remind me daily of ALL that You have done, Your Holy Sacrifice and Rising From the Grave, all of this because YOU LOVE US THAT MUCH! You redeemed me, held me close and forgave me. I do not want to forget that, EVER! It is too precious to lose.

Clean off my mirror until I see You shining through me! Don’t let me hide it under a bush where no one can see it! Remove those bushes so it can be a bright light that draws people to you!

Take away all that is not of YOU and replace it with Your holiness, love, clean and pure HEART that overflows with love to others. Help me to shine for you!

Become a Loving Sacrifice, Part 3

I Corinthians 13:4-8 and Romans 12:2

The Living Bible

“Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and will hardly ever notice when others do it wrong. It is never glad about injustice, but rejoices when ever truth wins out. If you love someone you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will always believe in him, always expect the best of him and always stand your ground when defending him.

And jumping to Romans 12:2

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think. Then you will learn from your own experience how His ways will really satisfy you.”

1 Corinthians gives us the ultimate definition of love and Romans shows us to use it in our broken world.

Don’t be defined by the world’s standards, rather rise above them and show true love, not just to your friends and family, but to everyone! Yes, even strangers on the street! What good does it do for you to hold it in close to yourself? That is not what Jesus commanded us to do!

Throw away the rags of your old sinful habits! They reek of your old life and does not please The Lord Your God. He has changed you from an empty vessel and created a new vessel that is clean, pure and Holy. Break that old vessel, throw it away. Be a Holy Vessel that radiates from within your heart out to others.

And a warning, do not go back to your old vessel lest you lose that light that Jesus gave you. The love that Jesus gave of Himself to us is meant to shine from within our hearts out to everyone! Be radiant in His LOVE for you and let that shine and be evidence of His Love working through you!

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, Thank you for all that you’re doing for me through Your Son, Jesus Christ, who has changed me into a new vessel that is worthy of YOU! You love us so much that You desire that none would perish, but that all should have eternal life.

You created us in Your image so that we can be Like You. Not to mirror the world, but Your Love. Help us and remind us of not who we were, but rather who We have Become, your children! Lord, hold me close, lest I fall away and let me an image of You.

Become A Loving Sacrifice Part 5

Romans 12:14-16

The Living Bible

“If someone mistreats you because you are a Christian, don’t curse him; pray that God will bless him. When others are happy, be happy with them. If they are sad, share their sorrow. Work happily together. Don’t try to act big. Don’t try to get into the good graces of important people, but enjoy the company of ordinary folks. And don’t think you know it all!”

This is a hard lesson to learn, and yes, I have had to learn to act like Jesus would, and yes, I do struggle at times still. We all do.

GOD IS PURE LOVE AND SO IS JESUS! Not the type of love the world offers, but as the Creator of the Universe.

Remember, that God’s plan for us is higher than ours, His ways are higher than ours, and His thoughts are higher than ours. Trust HIM, He knows what is best for us! His love for us knows no ends, but He expects, yes, demands, that we love one another, even those who do not believe.

When you are being mistreated for being a Christian, think of all the rewards awaiting you in Heaven. Think of what the apostles went through, most died for spreading the Good Word and yet, they were happy to do it! Remember that You are Working for Our Lord Jesus so that None Should Perish!

God commands US to LOVE ONE ANOTHER, no matter if they are followers or not. We are His, we belong to Him and We have to be like Him in all that we do. But, do not be like the world, don’t follow their ways. Rather, be like God, mirror Jesus. Show the world the Face, the Love, and Good Deeds of Jesus who LOVES. Share His Compassion, His Salvation, and His Love to others!

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit! I thank you for all that you’re doing! These are not my works or words! They are Yours that You ask of me to speak and do!

Help me to be a vessel that is Holy, clean, and emptied of me, myself and my ways, thoughts and actions. Come and clean this vessel who wants just to serve You! Fill me with Your love, compassion, good deeds, and good works!

Crucify my old heart daily, gently nudge and remind me that You are the Lord of my heart and that I am Yours! Take my heart and gently reshape it to Your will! Lord, all I have is Yours. You put Your words, Your Actions, Your Love and Your salvation message inside me so that I can Bless Others!

Become a Loving Sacrifice Part 6

Romans 12:17-21 The Living Bible

“Never pay back evil for evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honest clear through. Don’t quarrel with anyone. Be at peace with everyone, just as much as possible.

Dear friends, never avenge yourselves. Leave that to God, for He has said that He will repay those who deserve it, don’t take the law into your own hands. Instead, feed your enemy if he is hungry. If he is thirsty give him something to drink and you will be “heaping coals of fire on his head.” In other words, he will feel ashamed of himself for what he has done to you. Don’t let evil get the upper hand but conquer evil by doing good!”

Since you are followers of Jesus, become like Him. Strive to be perfect as He is alone is perfect! If someone hits you, turn the other cheek! “Remember that vengenance is mine and I will repay it!” saith the Lord!

Rather live in peace with each other, do not retaliate. Let go of your anger and trust in divine justice! God sees all that happens, give it to Jesus, let it go and He will bless you for it.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus and Holy Spirit, I ask that those who have hurt me, rejected me, and humiliated me for Your Name, that You and You alone, will repay them for it!

Lord, humble me. They don’t know what they are saying or doing as they are blind and cannot see the LOVE that You have for them. Allow me to show YOUR LOVE by turning the other cheek, no matter how much they have mistreated Your Servant!

Allow me to Feed them Your Holy Word.

Allow me to Give them the Drink of Your Forgiveness, Salvation and Love.

Allow me to Clothe them with Your Cloak so that they too can be covered by Your Mercy.

Remind me not to repay evil for evil, but to do Good always. Only by giving it to YOU alone, will I see You in action and through that action then I can minister to them.

It is hard to forgive but I leave that to You alone, for it is You, only You, that can change hearts. Let me be Your instrument for forgiveness, love and mercy, even to those I don’t think deserve it. Change my heart so that I can love them also, mirror my heart to reflect You and not myself.
