Not to us.
All The Glory Belongs To God!
Not to us.
We are here to glorify God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit!
Not ourselves.
He moves through us and helps to make His will, His works, His word available to all who will listen.
Failing to give God the glory is often described as spiritual pride or stealing God’s credit.
In Christian theology, this leads to profound spiritual consequences, including a darkened heart, separation from God, and a life lacking divine purpose.
Biblically and theologically, this lack of acknowledgment triggers specific outcomes:
Spiritual Blindness & Futility: According to Romans 1:21, failing to honor God or be thankful leads to futile thinking and a darkened heart, causing people to rely solely on their own limited understanding.
- Jesus says: “But when you choose to honor Me, I will flood your heart with My divine light, open your eyes to My secrets, and grant you supernatural wisdom that completely surpasses human understanding.”
Degenerate Living: When people push God out of their knowledge, scripture indicates He may “hand them over” to sinful passions and a debased mind, resulting in destructive personal and societal behavior.
- Jesus says: “But when you deliberately keep Me at the center of your mind, I will secure your thoughts in My truth, fill you with holy desires, and transform your entire life into a beautiful reflection of My goodness.”
Divine Judgment: Withholding glory is an offense against God’s nature that can result in judgment or being humbled. A well-known biblical example is King Herod (Acts 12:23), who accepted praise as a god and was struck down.
- Jesus says: “But when you humble yourself and gladly point all the praise back to Me, I will cover you in My perfect protection, shelter you from the enemy’s traps, and lift you up in due time.”
Loss of Blessing: Believers often understand that if a person uses God’s gifts, influence, or talents for selfish ambition, those blessings may be revoked or ultimately feel empty.
- Jesus says: “But when you use your God-given talents entirely for My praise, I will open the windows of heaven, pour out a double portion of My favor, and ensure that your spirit overflows with pure, lasting joy.”
