Yahweh. Whether you believe in God or not, when you breathe, you are saying the Holy Name of God, Yahweh. What you say after that tells how you treat Him. You will be held accountable on the judgement day.
What category do you fit into?
How will you answer YAHWEH? Today, we are looking at the Christian who is on FIRE for the Lord!
This is a metaphor for an intense, passionate, and unwavering devotion to God. It represents a believer whose primary focus is to serve others, share the Gospel, and live according to Biblical teachings without compromising their faith. [1, 2, 3]
The phrase is deeply rooted in the Bible and is contrasted with being “lukewarm”. In Romans 12:11, the Apostle Paul urges believers to be “fervent in spirit,” which translates to a passion that burns as hot as boiling water. It also reflects the words of Jesus in Luke 12:49, where He says, “I have come to bring fire on the earth”. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Signs of someone who is on fire for Jesus typically include:
- Radical Devotion: Prioritizing daily prayer, Bible study, and an active faith over comfort.
- Boldness: Sharing their faith and standing up for Christian values despite opposition.
- Active Love: Serving the local community and showing compassion to others as a reflection of Christ’s love. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Then Jesus will say to them who have shown these signs, devotion. boldness and active love, “Well done, good and faithful servant! Welcome to your heavenly reward!”
