Lord, I sit on the side of my bed reviewing my life. I ask you to search my heart and mind.

You know that I am yours, but still doubts and odd little memories, faded from many years ago like to peek out at me. Just little shadows of events that I barely remember. They are trying to accuse me of my past. My imperfect past. Times that I failed. Failed you. Times that I made the wrong choice. Decisions that I made that I regret.

I am getting older, and my memory fails at times. I look at these odd bits and pieces and I wonder why?

Is there something that I forgot about that I need to take care of? I search through those odd bits and pieces looking for clues. I cannot find anything.

You sit with me, reassuring me that no, there is nothing to worry about. You took care of it already and my debt has been paid. I am your child.
