Unworthy

July 30, 2026

We will be focusing on how satan loves to twist our words. Starting today, we will be looking at 7 words you should not say when praying to Jesus as they can block your blessings, breakthroughs, and progress. Satan is very sneaky and loves to twist words around, so you need to be aware of it’s lies, snares and traps.

By looking at the words in both a positive and negative way, we can undo these traps and come closer to God.

  1. Unworthy
  2. Why
  3. If
  4. Weak
  5. Impossible
  6. Maybe
  7. Done

They sound so innocent. Humble. Patient. Harmless. But since we know satan is a liar, they are actually just the opposite. It sounds so innocent. It sounds humble.

1. “Unworthy“. When you say that, you are negating the power of the cross. Believing you must be perfect for God to answer you denies the gospel. Hebrews 4:16 commands believers to come boldly to the throne of grace, not because of their own merit, but because of Jesus. But when Satan twists it, this word becomes a snare of Oppressive Condemnation.

  • The Trap: When you say “I am unworthy” in a way that makes you shrink back from God, you are negating the power of the cross. Believing you must be perfect for God to answer you denies the gospel.
  • What the Bible Says: Hebrews 4:16 commands believers to come boldly to the throne of grace, not because of their own merit, but because of Jesus.
  • The Victory: True humility looks at Jesus’ worthiness, not your own. Stop letting the enemy use “unworthiness” to lock you out of your inheritance. Come boldly!

Come back tomorrow for the next word, “Why?”
