Oh, I am so excited! It finally arrived!
I open it carefully so that it won’t break, gently pulling it out of the box. The box is smaller than I thought it would be. I pull the wrapping off gently. I put it on a table to look at it more closely, very carefully. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! I want everyone to see it and enjoy it!
That’s how we should treat a special gift from someone who loves us!
So, why don’t we treat the Greatest Gift Ever Given like that? Why do we try and keep it wrapped up, to be used only every now and then?
YAHWEH, the Creator of the Universe is infinite, powerful, all knowing, and demands and deserves more than just a box! He created YOU!
He KNOWS YOU by name! HE LOVES YOU THAT MUCH! And we just put Him aside, to be taken out once in a while.
He WANTS to DWELL INSIDE YOU! He is COMPLETELY HOLY, and WANTS TO BE IN CONTROL!
Not the other way around.
He will never force you to do so as He gave us another gift, called Free Will.
How can you take the Creator of the Universe and treat Him like an accessory?
Look at John 1:1-3. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
And John 21:25. “And I suppose that if all the other events in Jesus’ life were written, the whole world could hardly contain the books!”
Again, why do you want to keep the Creator, your God, the one who gave His life, died on the cross, defeated the enemy, and rose from the tomb, locked away to look at just now and again.
Do not cover Him up! He is meant to shine through YOU, to be a light to others!
That None Should Perish
